Certifications
The ENERGY STAR label makes it easy to find products that offer energy savings without
sacrificing performance, features and comfort. Products in more than 60 categories are included, such as appliances; heating and air conditioning equipment; electronics; office equipment; and
lighting, all offering savings of as much as 65% over standard models.
Higher SEER means higher savings.
If you're in the market for a new system, energy efficiency is one of the most important factors to consider. After all, the higher your system's efficiency, the less energy you'll use. So it's
important to know about SEER, or the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating. Like miles per gallon in your car, SEER is a measure of how efficient your heating and air conditiioning system is while
operating. The higher the SEER, the less energy a system uses while heating or cooling, and the lower your power bill will be.
14 SEER is the minimum standard efficiency established by the U.S. Department of Energy. The potential energy savings may vary depending on system settings and usage, equipment maintenance, local
climate, as well as the actual construction and installation of your HVAC equipment and ductwork.
